There are a lot of different bikes out there, all with unique frame and geometry requirements that often make installing a rack more than complicated. Wouldn’t it be great if you could buy a rack, knowing that it would work with just about any bike on the market? That’s where the new Old Man Mountain Divide rack comes in. Between the Divide (tires up to 3“ wide) and the Divide Fat (tires up to 26×5” or 27.5×4.6” wide), you should be able to attach the rack to just about any bike out there as there will be a Fit Kit k to fit every need.
Not only that, but the Divide rack itself can be used on the front or rear of the bike, again with the appropriate fit kit.

To fit just about anything, the rack frame is a bit smaller than its predecessors with a top platform size of 100×266 mm for the Divide and 130×306 mm for the Divide Fat. That still leaves plenty of room for loading panniers and bags, and the platform has slots for using various anchor straps and holes that can be used to mount accessories like lights.

The rack comes ready to mount to bikes with eyelets in the frame. However, the secret to the Divide’s ability to fit almost anything is in the multitude of ways it can be attached to the frame, fork or rear axle. At the bottom of the rack, there’s a height-adjustable dropout system that can also be used to attach to a QR quick release or a brand-specific thru axle. Mounting discs are available for the top mount, which are simply clamped to the seat stay or fork. Another option available for rigid gravel or road bikes is the seatpost clamp mount.

It should be noted that the way in which the Divide rack is attached to the bike affects the weight limit; when anchored to the axle, up to 32 kgs can be carried, while attaching to the eyelets in the frame “only” allows up to 25 kgs (which in itself is enough for many cyclists).

We are very excited to be an important part of your cycling adventures – have a great ride!!
Happy Trails!!
