Axle Pack

Old Man Mountain Axle Pack is unlike any fork mount adapter you’ve seen. Rather than trying to clamp to round or tapered surfaces and just hope it doesn’t slip or spin, Axle Pack is mounted to the thru axle! Attaching to the axle makes it impossible to slip or spin.
Sold as a pair, and remember the Axle Pack requires a fit kit to be installed.

AXLE PACK DETAILS

– Fits any fork using our thru axle Fit Kits.
– Made from 6061 aluminum, Axle Pack is lightweight, stiff, and strong.
– A slender 73g per side.
– It securely mounts to our axle studs.
– Cannot slide down or rotate around the fork legs.
– It can carry a lot more than a fork that has 3-pack mounts.
( Most bike’s mounts are rated to just 1.5kg each! Add to that low weight limit, the possibility of an impact to the bags on a tree or rock and you have a fair chance of ripping the eyelets out of your fork, especially a carbon fork.)

FIT KITS

To install the Axle Pack to your fork, you need a fit kit. The fit kit includes a new axle that substitutes the original axle of your bike. So, it is important to know the thread pitch and length of your axle. If you don’t know the specs of your axles, our Bike Finder can help you identify which fit kit you need.

Details of the Widefoot LiterCage:

The Widefoot LiterCage™ allows you to carry your favorite bottles on your bike. Compatible with a variety of 3.5″ (89mm) diameter water bottles including those made by Nalgene and other top brands. The unique 7-slot mounting bracket allows attachment at multiple positions on frames and forks with two-bolt, or three-bolt mounting systems. Full stainless steel construction provides durability, corrosion-resistance, and a secure hold. Available in Black. As with any type of coating, our Black option will show some wear over time in locations where bottles contact the cage.

Each cage is cut, hand bent, brazed, and TIG welded in-house with an unwavering attention to detail. The LiterCage is constructed from stainless steel tube, making it 18% lighter than the previous version without compromising on strength. The current version weighs 136 g.
