Old Man Mountain is rolling out three brand-new products designed to enhance all bikepacking adventures. Whether gearing up for rugged trails or endurance adventures, these innovative additions bring versatility, reliability, and silence to any bike ride.
FLiP Cages: A Game-Changer for Cargo Carrying

Old Man Mountain is launching first-ever cargo cages with a twist. The FLiP Cages are not just cargo cages; they are also quick-detach bag mounts, thanks to the Fast Lock in Place (FLiP) system. This innovative mechanism is seamlessly built into injection-molded nylon cages, allowing for fast, secure, and rattle-free attachment when paired with a FLiP compatible bag.
It is also possible to use the FLiP cages without a FLiP-compatible bag, they come with an optional cargo foot and slots for Voile or Fix Plus straps, making them just as versatile as traditional cargo cages.
Hemlock w/ FLiP Cages: a Rugged Fork Pack & Mini Pannier

The second new product is Hemlock with FLiP Cages. The Hemlock is the first FLiP-compatible bag. This 7-liter welded and waterproof fork pack attaches effortlessly: just hook the feet, and turn the handle 90 degrees to lock it in place.
Built for aggressive riding, both the Hemlock bags and FLiP Cages are rated for 4.5 kg per side. The bottom half of the bags is made from abrasion-resistant Hypalon, protecting against rocks and brush, while the top is crafted from lightweight ripstop, allowing for better compression and reduced weight.
Atlas Rack Pack: A Smart Alternative to Seat Packs

To round out the new collection, the Atlas Rack Pack is a 9-liter dry bag designed to mount directly to the deck of a rack. Featuring built-in attachment straps, this bag stays securely in place while still allowing quick access to the gear inside.
The top of the bag is equipped with a criss-crossing bungee, perfect for stashing extra layers, sandals, or snacks. Similar to the Hemlock bags, the bottom is reinforced with durable Hypalon, while the top is lightweight ripstop to keep things flexible and weight-conscious.
Weighing in at just 275g, the Atlas Rack Pack is an excellent seat pack alternative, helping to lower the center of gravity, maximize dropper post functionality, and improve the overall ride stability.
We are really excited about these new products!
Stock is on the way, and we will have these new products available around March 15, (2025). So stay tuned to the web shop if you want to be one of the first to grab one of these bikepacking accessories.
Happy Trails!!
