Sherpa Rear MTB bicycle touring rack

Sherpa Rear is very versatile and is our most popular rear rack. The design works with most bicycles out there. These include frames with no eyelets, small rear triangles, disk brakes, rear suspension and through-axles 12x142 or 12x148/boost. And off course, with any wheel size. Oh, and let´s not forget there are also versions for Fat Bikes.

It is the best option if you want to carry load on your MTB or touring bike. Its stiffness and lightness does endorse it as the leading rack model on the planet.

There is only one Old Man Mountain Sherpa, but the Fit Kits with the mounting hardware vary depending on the original axle of your bike. There are axles with different lengths and different thread pitch. All our versions for 12 axles include a new axle that replaces the one your bike has installed. The Sherpa is compatible with a 29r, but it will also work with a 26" or 27.5" bike. There are version for bicycles with a QR skewer and versions for bikes with a 12x axle. The mounting kits includes a new axle that substitutes the axel on your bike. We also include several washers, but not every bike will need al the washers. Specifications Sherpa Rear MTB:

-The Sherpa Rack Frame is designed for bikes with tire width of 3 inches or less.
-The rack tubing is 6063 welded aluminum. The main rack from is made of 1/2 (13 mm) diameter tubing for durability, and the top rails are 3/8 (10 mm) diameter to fit all panniers.
-The top deck measures 12.5″ x 5.5″ (317 mm x 140 mm.)
-The top deck includes a hole for mounting a reflector or a light.
-The extenders and the dropouts are manufactured from 6061 aluminum.
-The Rack Frame and Fit Kit are all powder coated matte black for finish and durability.
-Thru axles are precision machined from 7075 aluminum and hard anodized for rugged durability.
-Stainless steel mounting hardware.
-The strongest cargo rack that fits your bike right. Approved for loads up to 70 lbs (31.75 kgs).

Fit Kit 810 is for mounting an Old Man Mountain Sherpa on to the rear of a bike with a 12 mm thru axle.

-Thru Axle: 12 mm thru axle with 192 or 198 mm length and x 1.75 mm thread pitch.
-Pair of 5" Dropouts. Attach the rack frame to thru axle. Fits all wheel sizes with tire width 3 inches or under.
-Pair of 14" extenders. Stabilize and level the rack.
-Pair of OMM Pucks. Allows for an upper attachment point for the rack.
-Clear protective tape

Sherpa Rear 811
Fit Kit 811 is for mounting an Old Man Mountain Sherpa on to the rear of a bike with a 12 mm thru axle.
