Old Man Mountain racks come ready to eyelet mount like every other rack. The problem is that many bicycles, most MTB bikes for example, do not have eyelets.
Then what!?
You attach the rack to your bike's AXLE. Old Man Mountain has designed the racks to be versatile from front to rear and from bike to bike. The Fit Kit system means you can purchase one rack and multiple Fit Kits to put the rack on the front or rear of the same bike or put it on different bikes.
The Fit Kits take the weight off your frame and moves it to the axle; the part of your bike that’s designed to be super stiff and carry a ton of weight.

The Fit Kit
The Fit Kits take the weight off your frame and moves it to the axle; this makes for a very robust and stable attachment. The fit kits includes a new axle, or QR skewer, that substitutes the original axle of your bike. So, it is important to know the thread pitch and length of your axle since there are many different axles on the market. But don't worry, our Bike Finder can help you identify the right fit kit for your bike.

All the brands and models specified here or in our Bike Finder are compatible with our racks. However, every bike manufacturer can suddenly change the configuration of their bikes, from one year to another or on certain models. Old Man Mountain has no way of knowing how each of the thousands of bike models on the market is configured. Nevertheless, for the moment the info we provide is accurate (and will be updated over time if necessary).
Everything included
All you need for mounting the rack to your bike's eyelets is included. And you can mount the Divide and Elkhorn rack front or rear. If you want to axle mount the rack, then you need a fit kit.

Exchange your order
Didn´t fit your bike? You have 30 days to exchange your rack for another in order to solve the problem. Shipping cost are paid by the client.
